Distin Kidny store

Chinese Local womenswear brand Distin Kidny, which serves a demographic of fashion-savvy professionals, has inaugurated a new store at Longhu Paradise Walk, a large shopping centre in the downtown Guanyinqiao area of Chongqing, one of the country’s affluent first-tier cities. Situated on level B2, the store occupies a 141 sqm.  The chosen aesthetic takes ample cues from classical Chinese landscape painting, featuring a setting which is infused with local sensibilities yet captured by undulating forms, material contrasts in beige and wood tones, and layered light to create a contemporary shopping environment.

新中式并非传统符号的堆砌，而是一种“留白、意境、自然”与现代材质和功能的结合。DK重庆北城天街店的设计灵感取自中国传统山水画，通过空间的起伏、材质的对比与光影的层次，构建出一个“室内即山水”的东方场域。空间以浅米与木色为主调，辅以柔和灯光，营造出“空山新雨后”的静谧氛围；墙面与天花造型线条则有意识地打破对称，融入山水中“皴、擦、点、染”的抽象意象，使空间在流动中传达出东方的含蓄美。
